WrenchMap solves this by focusing exclusively on mobile mechanics and surfacing the details that matter: what services they offer, whether they're ASE certified, if they're available 24/7, and what other customers say about them.

How We Verify Mechanics

Every listing on WrenchMap goes through a multi-step verification process:

• Business verification — We confirm each mechanic operates a legitimate mobile auto repair service, cross-referencing Google Business profiles, state licensing databases, and business registrations.
• Certification checks — ASE certifications, insurance status, and licensing claims are verified against public records where available.
• Service data collection — We gather real service offerings, hours of operation, service areas, and pricing directly from business profiles and public sources.
• Ongoing monitoring — Listings are regularly refreshed to ensure accuracy. Google ratings and review counts are synced to reflect current customer sentiment.

How Rankings Work

Our "Top Rated" sort uses a Bayesian weighted average that factors in both the star rating and the number of reviews. This means a mechanic with a 4.8 rating from 200 reviews ranks higher than one with a 5.0 from just 2 reviews — giving you a more reliable picture of quality. We never accept payment to influence rankings.
